Each year the Southwest Florida Reading Festival gets better and better and this year promises to be the best one yet! There is something for everyone.

Adjacent to The Harborside Event Center there are 300 uncovered metered parking spaces as well as a five story parking garage, which is subject to availability. Metered spaces cost $0.25 per hour on week days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special event parking is $3 upon entry at the garage.
What to do at the
Southwest Florida Reading Festival?

There really is something for all ages to experience at the Southwest Florida Reading Festival. Everyone enjoys the multiple stages with the celebrity authors who share ‘inside scoop’ about their latest books or what makes a story idea click for them. You will be able to buy books and have the authors personalize and sign them too! You’ll find our numerous book and educational vendors offering the latest in services and new ideas. Kids will be mesmerized by the storytellers. There will be absolutely something for everyone! Want more? Sure!

A favorite year after year is the FREE Book for Every Child and Teen where they can pick out a book to take and keep!

The Children’s Craft & Activities Tent is so fun because kids make all kinds of cool stuff that the can take home!

An exciting teen event is the one-of-a-kind local Reading Rocks! Teen Battle of the Bands final competition. The top three bands perform live, onstage in front of hundreds of spectators, family and friends in a final battle for first place!

There’s also an abundance family fun activities such as face painting, readings, drawings and so much more. It’ll be a day you will thoroughly enjoy and one you will want to repeat every year!
