What Is There to Do At The Reading Festival?

There really is something for all ages to experience at the Southwest Florida Reading Festival. Everyone enjoys the multiple stages with the celebrity authors who share ‘inside scoop’ about their latest books or what makes a story idea click for them. You will be able to buy books and have the authors personalize and sign them too! You’ll find our numerous book and educational vendors offering the latest in services and new ideas. Kids will be mesmerized by the storytellers. There will be absolutely something for everyone! Want more? Sure!

There’s also an abundance of family fun activities such as readings, drawings and so much more. It’ll be a day you will thoroughly enjoy and one you will want to repeat every year!

Festival Parking

You can park along downtown streets for free on the weekends. The two City of Fort Myers downtown parking garages will have a Special Event Garage Parking flat rate fee of $5 that you pay on entry into the garage. They will accept cash or credit cards. The Main Street Garage is located at 2286 Main Street, with entrances at Main and Second streets.

Food & Drink

The Southwest Florida Reading Festival offers plenty of menu items from nearly a dozen different vendors!

For more details on who will be coming and what’s happening on each of our multiple stages, please go to our schedule page.
